What are the banners?
Honoring our Heroes banners recognize both past and current residents of Norton who have served our country in the Armed Forces. Each banner proudly displays a photograph as well as the years and branch of service that that veteran served.
These banners are located on Route 123 and Route 140, starting at the center of town and moving out.
Who can apply for a banner?
Anyone who qualifies for veteran status in accordance with VA standards and lives in Norton is eligible for a banner. Proof of veteran status (DD214 or similar document) must be provided within the application. Former residence may be eligible upon review of the application.
Veterans can apply for their own banners or others can apply for a banner on a veteran's behalf
